PREMIER EXPRESSES SYMPATHY ON PASSING OF MR. PRINCE STOUTT

Premier and Minister of Finance Hon. Ralph T. O’Neal, OBE today from London expressed his sadness upon learning of the death yesterday of former legislator Mr. Prince Stoutt.

The Premier extended his condolences to Mr. Stoutt’s widow and family on behalf of the Government and people of the BVI.

“Mr. Stoutt made significant contributions to the political and social arenas and especially in the second district”, the Premier said from London earlier today. ”His contributions will be long remembered,” he added.

“I will miss him as a dear friend and will certainly miss his early morning telephone calls. I have very fond memories of Mr. Stoutt when we worked together in the Legislative Council in 1977 until 1983 and again from 1990-1995 on behalf of the people of this Territory,” the Premier recalled.
