The Virgin Islands is a country of many parts, with some 60 islands, rocks and cays scattered over the north-eastern Caribbean Sea. Our vibrant economy complements our friendly community and warm environment, creating an exceptional place to live and visit.

Renowned as the sailing capital of the Caribbean, the Virgin Islands are edged in white sand beaches and surrounded by crystal clear seas with tropical reefs. The VI enjoys a rich history and lively culture, as reflected in our historic sites and museums, arts, music and festivals.

Officially and historically named the Virgin Islands; we’re also called the British Virgin Islands, to differentiate us from the neighbouring US Virgin Islands (USVI).
